If you're unwell far from home, you want a doctor who explains clearly, deals with your insurer, and writes it all down properly. That is the job.
How it works
- Message meWhatsApp is fastest. Tell me your symptoms, your hotel and room number, and whether you have travel insurance. I'll tell you whether to come to the clinic, wait for a hotel visit, or go straight to hospital.
- InsuranceIf you're insured, send a photo of your policy card or the assistance company's phone number. I contact them, obtain the guarantee of payment, and you usually pay nothing on the spot. If you'd rather pay and claim back, I give you an itemised invoice and a report written for your insurer.
- The consultationIn English (also Arabic, Italian, Russian). Examination, tests if needed, treatment started the same day. Medicines are supplied or prescribed with their international generic names so you can identify them at home.
- DocumentationA medical report in English with diagnosis, treatment and advice; a fit-to-fly letter if your flight is affected; a referral letter for your own doctor. All sent as PDF.
- Follow-upI check on you the next day, and you can reach me by video after you return home if anything isn't settling.
Insurers and assistance companies
I work regularly with European, British, Russian and Gulf travel insurers and their assistance companies, and I understand what they need: prompt notification, a clear clinical report, itemised costs, and honest advice about whether a patient needs repatriation. Through NewCare Clinics, direct billing (guarantee of payment) is available for most major assistance companies.
Emergencies and hospital care
I'm not an emergency service. For chest pain, breathing difficulty, severe bleeding, a serious accident or suspected decompression illness, call an ambulance (123) or go to the nearest hospital, and contact your assistance company. Where you need hospital care I can help you choose the right hospital in Sharm El-Sheikh or Cairo, brief the team, and follow your case.
Long-stay visitors and expatriates
Many international patients aren't tourists at all — they live here for months or years. For them I act as a family doctor: chronic disease management, prescriptions, check-ups, referrals, and a single set of records that follows you.
