Wellness and longevity

Not a supplement stack or a biohacking menu. A yearly, evidence-based look at what is most likely to shorten your healthy life — and a plan to change it while there is still time.

Most of what determines how long and how well you live is already known, and it is not exotic: blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, weight, smoking, alcohol, sleep, physical activity, and catching the few cancers that are worth screening for early. The problem is that these are rarely looked at together, by one doctor, with a plan that gets reviewed. That is what this service does.

The longevity check-up

A structured annual visit, longer than a normal appointment, built around your age, sex, family history and the results of your tests. It covers:

  • Cardiovascular risk — blood pressure, lipids, blood sugar, weight and waist, ECG, and a calculated 10-year risk score you can understand
  • Metabolic health — insulin resistance, fatty liver, thyroid, vitamin D and B12, iron
  • Cancer screening appropriate to your age and history — bowel, breast, cervix, prostate, skin, and lung for smokers
  • Sleep, mood, stress and alcohol — assessed properly, not as a tick-box
  • Physical function — strength, balance and fitness, because these predict independence in later life better than any blood test
  • Vaccination status — influenza, pneumococcal, shingles, hepatitis, and travel vaccines if you fly often
  • A review of every medication and supplement you take, and whether each one is still earning its place

What you leave with

A written summary in plain language: your results, the three or four things that matter most for you, what we'll do about each one, and when we'll check again. If something needs a specialist — a cardiologist, a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy, a dermatologist for a mole — I arrange the referral and stay involved.

Where nutrition and weight fit in

For many people the most powerful longevity intervention available is weight and metabolic control. When that is the case, the plan continues in the clinical nutrition and weight programme, with the same doctor and the same records.

What I will tell you honestly

Some of what is marketed as "longevity medicine" has no evidence behind it, and some of it is harmful. I don't order full-body MRI scans or hundreds of biomarkers without a reason, I don't prescribe hormones or peptides for anti-ageing, and I won't sell you a supplement programme. If a new test or treatment has good evidence, I'll use it. If it doesn't, I'll say so and explain why.

Who this suits

  • Adults over 35 who want a proper baseline and a plan, rather than waiting for symptoms
  • People with a family history of heart disease, diabetes or cancer
  • Residents and long-stay visitors in Sharm El-Sheikh who want one doctor to keep the whole picture
  • International patients who want an annual check-up they can take home to their own doctor
